BETTER HOROSCOPE…….

Ok I found a better horoscope on this site called www.ask-oracle.com

<> Im so kicked so i had to share it:

TAURUS

This year will witness the blossoming of your enterprising and negotiating nature. Throughout the year Financial and official matters will become far more important for you and some of you may think about starting new ventures and obtaining new contracts. You are quite involved in the judicious use of the monetary resources that you own or acquire from others through various means. This does bring generosity and sense of importance in good measure, but what it should also bring is a prudence and objectiveness that makes you save as much of it as you can and try to find new ways to make the most out of what you invest. Your expenses will be on peak this year so you must learn to save money.

There could be some tensions and troubles till September because of Saturn. There will be a great stress on duty and responsibility in both the professional and personal sense. The last quarter of the year will be quite free from tension and stress for you if you manage to face all your hassles till that time and work them out before getting too late. You will have time for amusement and leisure activities from time to time. Children and spouse will provide all the satisfaction that you look for in relationships.

There can be a radical decision in love in 2007. An adventure is winking at you, but it might just be an adventurous holiday trip. This year Venus can make a wish come true. There is also this element of deceit and blunder in this year, so make your moves after serious forethought. Large inflows and outflows of money in your personal account will alarm you, but may be, that’s how its supposed to be. The end result will surely be a pleasant one.

WELCOME 2007 !!

<>No posts from me since october, so my first new year resolution is to “Be more consistent in blogging!”. Every year I make rather ambitious new years resolutions. But I have never managed to complete a single one! Not cause I dont try but probably cause they are rather unreasonable as short term goals. So this year Manasi has dedided to make simple and clear cut goals which will be easy to achieve. So here are my new year resolutions:

1.) Lose weight (like duh!)

2.) Start writing my book.

3.) Get a good job which will give me exposure.

4.) Sleep a litte less. (yawn!! zzzz )

5.) Cut down on junk food (which has now manifested in to an addiction!)

<> Well there is another goal which is very secret! Got nothing to do with boyrfriends and all that so dont ask me what it is!!!! This goal is more long term so aim to achieve it in like say 2 years.

So ppl Happy new year and have a great 2007.

DON – FIRST DAY FIRST SHOW

Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahin namumkin hain……That dialogue has been haunting me ever since Farhan Akhtar started promoting his new (or should i say newly old) movie DON……..Being an ardent SRK fan i had to go see that movie………So the day the bookings started i got first day first show tickets for DON…….For one week those tickets were in front of my eyes and i eagerly awaited friday when i could go see the movie…….. To my great joy when i switched on the tv at 9:00 am on friday amitabh’s DOn had just started…….i saw the whole movie and then went at 12:30 to see Shahrukh’s DON……..I must say that Shahrukh has avoided one horrendous situation that could have occured- he did not try to emulate Amitabh……..He portrayed DON in his own style and that made his movie just as special…….A remake of a classic is an extremely huge burden and a challenge and Farhan has lived up to this challenge………Though the movie is frame by frame of the old DON no way is it boring…….In fact the twist at the end of the movie makes up for all the apparent faults that the critics have pointed out……..In the old movie Vijay is the one who pretends to be DON after DON dies……But in this movie DON actually kills Vijay in the hospital and then pretends to be Vijay who is pretending to be DON…*phew* sounds confusing but Farhan has depicted it so well…….I quite enjoyed the movie despite what critics say……I guess shahrukh has silenced all his critics by proving that he is not just a “lover boy” actor……..DON ke dushmano ki sabse badi galti hain ki woh DON ke dushman hain……..

DULL !!

Gawd what a week…All i seem to be doing is studying or hearing my parents telling me to study…Why is it that when ever exams are near a person’s capacity for sleeping increases?….Well not sure about otehr people but during study leaves i suddenly feel sleepy all the time….A person who usually gets up around 7:00 am , during study leaves i cant wake up before 10:00 *yawn* …… And how is that two days before exams i get invited to 2 parties!! And when i have nothing better to do no one invites me……*harrumpf*……..

I am like sooooooooooo bored….My friends are coming over to study at the moment but i doubt any studying will happen…..We will probably just end up gossiping about  about all our other friends………

There are so many things i have to do and i am late in doing them……That comes to haunt me while stduying………….Guess i need a vacation once these horror exams get over……….

CURRENT STATUS – FRUSTRATED !!

Right now i am on the verge of pulling my hair out of its roots!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !! nah no one is torturing me…wel not exactly directly….i have been subjugated to the pain of studying…[sympathise please]….. like my friend ali says, students like me are like rockets……….unless our ass is on fire we dont study……as embarrased as i am to mention i like studies just  not these subjects……!! The india neducation system i think is all wrong……what is the purpose of an exam? to make sure that the knowledge you have imparted has reached to the students but since everyone rotes on the day before the exam and forgets everythign 5 minutes after the paper……….where has the purpose got across?….i think this pressure just defeats the purpose of education……….evaluation should be on the basis of projects and assignments instead of exams which any idiot with an average I.Q could pass……….oh blah blah…..i think this is all the frustration talking…………only 9 more days to go for the boards…………!! HELP !!

4 STEPS ( ITS KIND OF A RAMBLING OF MY THOUGHTS WRITTEN LIKE A POEM)

I just learned how long 4 steps are,

i walked and i reached,

I thought i had made up my mind,

The journey just 4 steps to the cliff,

The fall a long long way down,

I thought i had made up my mind,

Life was not fair was it,

Climbing to the top of the success ladder was a lot,

But 4 steps is not much is it,

I walked my 4 steps,

The journey of my life; only a fall.

With wind blowing through my hair and my destination a rocky bed,

I wish I wish,

I wish i hadnt walked the 4 steps.

[AND GUYS I SWEAR IM NOT SUICIDAL]

SHOPPING SPREE AT COLABA CAUSEWAY.

Yesterday Jai hind college experiencedpower shortage (Thanks to BSES)and hence the lecs got cancelled. Totally against the idea of going home earl, my friends and i went shopping, at colaba causeway. I have never had so much fun street shopping before!! I picked up a lot of things, most importantly an umbrella (i have been travelling without one till today). .. I also picked up a dvd of KANK for my bro from a shop called “ROHYAL CALLECSHAN” or so says the shop keeper….I bought the controversial book by Kaavya Vishwanathan called “HOW OPAL MEHTA GOT KISSED GOT WILD AND GOT A LIFE” and the current best seller “MAXIMUM CITY”… I think i have found my Shangri La…the corner side book stand where u get all the originals for 1/3rd the price…….

I CRIED DURING “KANK”

Because it was by far the worst Karan Johar movie ever. I mean, What was the man thinking???…(incredulous expression on face)….As a wannabe director i have no right to criticise someone’s efforts but really it was really ‘hatke’ from the usal KJTJ’s….i.e Karan Johar Tear Jerker’s…..The idea was good and very realistic but since when do people go for a movie to see realism…when people go for a karan johar movie they go to escape the harsh realitites of life….they go to see a larger than life setting and impossible yet cute love stories something which can transport them to a happier life for just those 3 hours…..So if a person who has a bad marriage goes for this movie it will jus be worse……I think KAran Johar should stop trying to experiment and give people what they really want from him….a happy, running-around-trees, candy floss KJTJ…….
